Immigration forms
I type your information onto the form. I do not choose the form and I do not advise you. It matters that you understand the difference.
What I do
- I type your information onto the form, in English, without transcription errors.
- I organize your file, make the copies, and show you where it is filed and how the USCIS fee is paid.
- I put my name, address, and phone number on the form, as the law requires. You know who prepared it.
What I cannot do
- I do not choose which form applies to you. Selecting the form is itself practicing law.
- I do not tell you whether you qualify, how to answer, or what will happen in your case. I cannot, and a non-attorney who does is committing a crime.
- I do not represent you before USCIS or an immigration judge.
What to bring
- The form number you or your attorney already chose
- Passport and identity documents
- Any notice you have received from USCIS
